Snow Scene at Swynlake || Bonliddell

These days, Lou made sure to spend plenty of time with Opal. The twins were becoming more mobile and vocal, and while this was lovely, it also meant that they were becoming quite a handful. One year old toddler was difficult enough, but two of them took much of everyone’s attention. Even with all three of them. There was twice the laundry, twice the dishes, and twice the appointments.
So, Hades, Belle, and Lou all made sure to take Opal out for her own little event at least once a week, though they tried to do so more than that.
Today, Opal and Lou were out, building themselves a snowman. Or, well, a snowprincess, if Opal had anything to say about it. They had been out for a while now and their snowprincess was coming along quite nice. Opal was babbling along pleasantly about feeding the snowprincess’ nose to Philippe later, leaving Lou to ponder the ephemerality of art as he packed snow together.
When a shadow fell over him, he glanced up from where he was crouched. “Bon jour, Alice,” he said without exchanging his expression and going back to packing the snow.
“Bon jour, Alice!” Opal parroted. She waved and then went back to patting her snow pile. “Bonjour, Opal.”
