Land Ho Welcome to Peru

The thirteen hour flight had been great. Tink and Peg were probably the best choice in terms of who to bring with. Tink because she just...she knew about this. She knew how he felt about all of it, and she was good enough to still come with him even though their relationship had been a mess and ended in disaster. He was relieved that she would do this with him. Genuinely relieved. And then there was Peg, who was just so funny that for a good amount of the flight, Kuzco was so distracted that he nearly forgot why it was they were going to Peru in the first place.
Of course as the plane started to descend, it hit him again with the force of a tsunami, and he quieted down, he started mumbling his responses to them as he fidgeted with his hands. He had managed to avoid drinking so far, but the urge to do so grew as he glanced out the window to see the city of Lima stretched out beneath them. It had been so long since he had last been home that it almost felt unfamiliar to him. “Well...like any other place we get some pollution too. Isn’t it wonderful?” Kuzco joked, a half-assed smile on his face.
When the private jet landed on the tarmac, he turned to face the other two. “Now I must mention...my home is about an hour away from the airport by car. But, hopefully you will get a good glimpse of things as we go.” Now he was getting nervous, though the nice part about the plane they had taken, was that they wouldn’t be forced to head to any terminal. Kuzco’s driver Juan was already out there and waiting with the stretch limo.
Kuzco was the first to exit, figuring he could make any introductions, and hopefully avoid any awkward confrontations. After all, there was no reason for him to think that everyone would be thrilled he had returned. “Hey Juan, it has been too long.” He said with a laugh and a pat on the shoulder which...largely got him a glare. “Alright, no time for pleasantries. But if it’s all the same...Tink, Peg, this is my driver Juan. He has taken me to so many places since I was...five or six years old.” He watched as his driver made his way over to the car, and a nervous chuckle escape him.
“Annnd....that is hopefully the worst reaction we will get...hopefully.” He glanced over at Tink and Peg and threw on his most charming smile, ready to put on the over enthusiastic charm he was often known for. “Now don’t be shy. I know you want a ride in there don’t you? Go on go on. If you’re lucky there may be mints in between the seats.”
