What if I mention some Dead Money characters?
I’m only doing legionaries for now, but I love Dead Money so I may open it up when I’m done with this project c:

I'm confused about the steps you take. What rules do you follow when you add the texture of their skin?
The skin texture is a bit of what feels right and a bit of observation. Like Hancock has some pretty distinct markings in the area around his lips, so I tried my best to imitate those, the rest is sort of whatever other loose and light scribbling feels right, without being too heavy because I didn’t want to take away from some of the more important lines, like the ones that define the cheekbones.
Do you ever color your ghouls?
At the moment, no.
When I colour/paint I’m very slow. I find a lot relaxation and therapy in it so I enjoy taking my time and not rushing. Plus I’ve got a couple of bigger pieces that I am currently working on, so I don’t want to commit to something else quite yet. Mostly because I won’t ever finish anything that way, haha!
Though I definitely do want to do a Fallout 4 piece in the future that will include my favourite ghoul.
Awesome! Thank you! What angles do you start with for the profile? Does being a ghoul affect your face shame in terms of drawing?
You’re quite welcome!
A ¾ (three-quarter) view of Hancock is what I focused on primarily, of him facing both directions, it’s also what’s most available anyway. But I did use one that was more face forward as well to double check a lot, to sort of make sure my mind wasn’t filling in details for me.
And the only difference between drawing a ghoul and a regular person, in my opinion, is how less fleshy they are. They don’t have a lot of flesh left and their skin is gone, so they typically aren’t going to be pudgy in the face. You see a lot of their bone structure, so their jaws are going to sharper, the brow bone more defined (especially since they don’t have eyebrows), and the cheek bones are more noticeable.
Oh and they don’t have lips, so those are definitely not going to be a huge focal point of the face. And their ears aren’t as defined since they are sort of melded to their heads.
Voice
If I get 10 “voice"s, I (the mun) will record myself voice acting the character I roleplay.
Chances are I might also sing something.
half way there.. 5/10
I too love bioshock more than life

Heyo stranger! I am an old old lady who still uses paper and quill pens to draw. I was wondering, what type of tablet do you use to draw and what specs should I look for if I want to buy one.
Hello there :) I use a 13HD Cintiq, I used to use a small Intuos4. A good start would be to define what’s best for you, some people work better with a screen based tablet and others don’t. Some stores have test models on display you can play around with if you aren’t sure.
The other thing to look out for is the size you work on paper, Tablets range from small to quite large. In terms of my preferences, I use small A5 and A4 sketchbooks, so the 13HD is a good size. I’ve tried bigger ones and they hurt to use, but some people really like them! I also can’t go back to my Intuos or any non-screen tablet, I do know people who prefer them though and can use both types!
If you’re just starting out with digital work as well I’d recommend getting a cheap tablet! know what program you like to use before investing in something potentially expensive. I hope that answers your question! :D
