Stumpy the Pigeon

Stumpy is such a brave little soul, and looks so beautiful and velvety when the sun is shining. I haven’t seen him/her for a few days, but I’m not too worried as I haven’t seen the rest of that little sub-tribe: as the weather is improving and it’s getting lighter earlier, some of the foraging patterns of pigeon groups have changed and we’re not always coinciding.

Well, the gang seem fine since I got back from Arras.

I took some more pics of them, including darling Stumpy, this morning. I think Stumpy is a boy. Today, for the first time, I saw him fluffing his ruff and doing a bit of a strutty/dance-y walk for the girls.
