How long does it (on an average) take to make the first chapter of a whole new gafou/or any new story in general (btw I love your work it's so awesome)
ooh well it depends! except when I make a plan of the story before starting to write it, the first chapter of a fic takes as much time as a regular chapter.
without counting the editing, a 2k-3k chapter takes between four and six hours (I write about 500 words in an hour with tiny pauses, sometimes less) spread over between two and four days. assuming I’m at home and spending most of my time there. of course I get distracted, stuck, etc, so I do other things through the day like aimlessly scrolling through Tumblr and eating snacks, but yeah. somehow at the end of the day it still feels like I’ve been doing nothing but writing, unless I stop to cook or watch something.
there’s also the editing to add *waves at my amazing betas,* and depending on the length of the chapter and how bad it is, it can take one hour like it can take two or three.
