hiiiiii!!! can you explain a bit more about how workshops work when you become a trainee? are they additional skill points along with the monthly trainee ones?

hi! yes, they are! however, keep in mind that participating in workshops has its consequences. realistically, focusing on a particular skill may lead to other skills lagging behind. other than getting additional skills, you may also lose points in other skills. what points you will gain and what points you will lose is always listed in every workshop post for each workshop listed, so think carefully before choosing to participate in a workshop!

you can submit your workshop points along with your monthly trainee points, as they count for the trainee-related thread replies requirement of your monthly trainee points submission.

what's the difference between production & composition on songwriting claims?

hi there! to answer simply, composition is writing a melody and production is more like arranging the instrumentation to reach the desired sound. so composition may include certain things like the chords and melody and even a harmony! but the 'final sounds' and multiple instruments and sound effects etc. would fall under production.

with that in mind, the final goal of a composition would be create a blueprint for a song, whereas the final goal for production would be to tie all the elements together and fleshing out the details in order to 'complete' the sound! we hope this helps!

a question on workshops: if we don't have points in the category that it takes points out of, would it just be taken out of another category in that case?

your points would just remain at 0 in that specific category! no need to remove them from a different area.

hi i have a question about workshops! it says threads need to be about the workshops – does that mean they have to be with someone else taking the same workshop, or for example could someone taking a language workshop have someone outside of the workshop help them with the language they're learning too? if that makes sense

hi there! for workshops threads, the threads would have to be with someone else taking the same workshop. so for the example of a language workshop: your muse would need to thread with another muse taking the same language workshop in order for it to be valid for points. we hope this helps!

hiiiiiii would you ever consider adding non-idol options? like ik wannabe is about the trainee process etc but if we want to be involved but not just as a future idol? just want to see what your future ideas are c:

honestly, we don't have any plans to add different celebrity career paths or company staff members to our current plot line nor do we see it happening in the near future. our priority will be on idols and idol groups for the time being, and building those out takes all of our focus and attention!

that said, there will be opportunities for our future idols to get involved in projects other than their music careers. but that's as much of a spoiler as you'll all get!
