As our knowledge about developmental disorders expands, we are realizing the need for customized services that are geared toward both the individual and the family. Abilities United works tirelessly, not only to provide those services, but to help build bridges between the general public and people with developmental or physical disabilities.

Many Florida animals are becoming endangered. Everglades Park, home to over 67 such species, is threatened by encroaching civilization, toxic runoff and drainage resulting from an extensive canal system. Saving Florida animals, their habitat and ultimately our own is top priority for two remarkable organizations.
Sports and recreation are important for teaching children about good sportsmanship, team work and physical fitness. It also provides a chance for children to socialize and release some of that energy they’re famous for in a fun, safe and productive way. But some charities have taken it a step further. They’re using games for the good of some very special athletes. We’ve highlighted a two such organizations here. Grassroot Soccer and the Special Olympics
