AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT !
STARTING ON OCTOBER 10, the inactivity limit will be switched to 7 days of inactivity resulting in a release, and a writing excerpt will be added to the application as a requirement. All of our current members will be required to submit a writing excerpt by OCTOBER 17 to remain in the group. I know that may seem a bit daunting, but I promise that it's nothing to worry over ! The writing excerpt is only required once, regardless of how many muses you have, and is one to two paragraphs of character introspection that showcases some aspect of their personality that they don't often show, i.e. their insecurities, a hidden aspect of their life, a problem that they're currently facing that doesn't involve their job, etc. We used to require a secret, and I think that it'd be incredibly helpful for plotting and, therefore, the longevity of our group to bring a writing excerpt back ! I understand that this may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I envisioned our group as being heavily plotting based and character based. Meaningful interactions that all of the members can be involved in, in some way, are the backbone of any group. Two characters are having a public falling out ? The other members should have reactions to it, because they should all be affected by it in some way ! A group should provide a sense of community both out of character and in character. And that's why we've decided that a writing excerpt will become a requirement: It reflects the effort that you are willing to put into our group as well as into your own character(s). We'll also continue to observe activity and issue warnings, if necessary, for a lack of character interaction.
