“Yatsuhashi, are you staring at me?” Velvet asked with a raised brow. She had been trying to focus on cleaning her camera but noticed her teammate. If it were anyone else, she’d get flustered and a little flattered secretly but mostly try to act like it wasn’t happening. Since it was Yatsu though, she couldn’t help but feel a little confident and happy. She tried to keep her cool though, and took it as a compliment. Unless…

“Is there something on my face?” And there was her doubt and insecurity again. At least she was confident for a solid moment at least.

Never before had the girl had a moment as odd as this one. She had been admiring some books in the library, when she noticed the red head out the corner of her eye. She knew he looked familiar but before she could place him, he tripped heading down her aisle of books.

She froze, and looked down slowly. She wanted to scream, purely out of surprise, but for some reason the only thing that stopped her was that she was in a library. 

“Ar-are you ok?” She whispered despite herself, face red and eyes wide.

She spotted him. After everything that had happened, she hardly suspected to see him, especially out and about so soon. So soon after what had happened. Velvet bit her bottom lip and tightened her fist. Limping, she went to him. She had to let him know how sorry she was. If she had seen that other one, maybe she could have finished them all off and the group could have gone to find them. To help save them. To help save her... "Jaune." She called out.

The events of the last few days had definitely taken it’s toll on the young blonde. Several thoughts ran through his mind on what he could have done differently. What he could have done to prevent... He stopped for a moment, trying not to dwell on the past. He knew Pyrrha wouldn’t want to see him moping around, and yet... “Hmm?” He turned to see the rabbit faunus calling out his name. “Oh, hey Velvet” He responded to her with a gentle wave of his hand.

Velvet waited patiently in the park next to a large tree, her hand on her weapon box. Absent mindedly she traced her fingers over the gold trim.
