How in the would does Meta Knight work?

While Meta Knight is widely considered to be the same species as Kirby (or at least a similar species due to just about the same physiology without the mask), there's nothing that proves he necessarily works the same way Kirby does as he is never shown to have Kirby's abilities, like Copy and inhaling others like the rest of Kirby's species — even while being considered a Star Warrior like the latter.

Meta Knight is often depicted with wings that he typically already has on his own with the use of his cape transforming; something Kirby cannot have without the Wing ability. This is also the case for other knights, though there's nothing either that proves they're a part of Kirby's species either.

Ultimately, there's no proof of sharing a species or function. My conclusion would likely be that they're simply a different yet similar type of creature to what Kirby is (hence the build), with different abilities and different functionalities.

Team Kirby Clash Deluxe: Released April 12th, 2017

I made this as a companion piece to go with Super Kirby Clash Deluxe. This one I wanted to highlight the village, since that's where you spend the most time. Plus, it gave me an excuse to draw Magolor, as I've grown fond of drawing him lately. Funny little egg. Being able to sneak Taranza in was also a bonus, being my favorite character and all.
