genuinely astonished that my cat who hates pills and hates ointment and hates flea meds, who has been labeled 'aggressive' by my vet for good reason, who developed a "run away and hide from the treat" level of aversion to churus after I tried to sneak gabapentin into it ONE time is.... pretty much fine with me putting eye drops into her eyes three times a day. like I'm grateful but. girl what.

once again was doing the dumb thing where I beat myself up over the fact that I can't seem to make myself do anything productive.... before remembering that I haven't taken my ADHD meds in two days bc I've been sick.

anyways here is a photo of my cat judging me for falling into the same trap yet again

Vet told me to keep the cone on my cat for seven days and I thought "well she's definitely going to figure out how to take it off in seven days, she can open doors and operate a Roomba" but I didn't say anything and dutifully accepted the cone and the antibacterial ointment for her foot.

She figured it out in four hours. And that's only because she was still really high on gabapentin for a few hours after the vet visit. I keep putting it back on but that's only going to make her better at getting it off.

If you're planning to adopt a cat my advice is to choose a dumb one.
