-----Long days of practicing had been what filled Frances' life to keep her sane. She had been attempting to follow in her father's footsteps by joining a band but the right one had not yet come along. She was in her senior year at school at Westfield High so she was older then most of the other kids that were already in bands. Still, she knew she had to give it a shot. Hell, her father Kurt had been successful by joining some friends together for a band meeting before his first band started so why couldn't she? Walking down by the auditorium with her guitar that was her father's strapped to her back she noticed a piece of paper that stated try outs were today for an up and coming rock band. It was a sign.
Heading into the auditorium about twenty minutes late she stood at the back as she listened to an amazing female singer belting out lyrics. It didn't take long for her to realize how it was one of her father's songs that she had been singing. At the end she couldn't help but clap.
"Damn, you did Cobain justice."
Frances called out, revealing she was standing at this girl's practice or audition. There was a guitarist auditioning back behind her and Frances felt her heart pick up. Fuck, somebody else wanted the gig.
