Anyways I just found out my new favorite trope is that Humans are space orcs. Humans are from a Death World. Earth is the space Equivalent to Australia. Humans are way more built for survival than Aliens.
It’s just such a good one...So many opportunities for hurt/comfort, angst, and unintentional fearplay...
Like Oh no! Big scary monster human and small little alien. What will they do??? Cuddle hopefully! Like AHHHHH.
Idk why but I just love the way misunderstandings are played out in this with cultural differences and false information.
I also love when the humans are actually OP, and are from a “Death World” planet that a regular old alien would look at and think, “Yeah I would probably die in the first five seconds of being on this planet..” Like humans are seen as these predatory freaks of nature that can and will survive almost anything that is usually fatal to aliens. And aliens are just freaked out when they come in contact with humans because they’re like “oh no this apex predator is probably gonna rip my throat out”.
I just like big protector humans and their small alien friends who they have formed an emotional bond to interact...
And Yeah, maybe it’s just my savior complex coming in, but I really just love this kinda stuff so much.

-unintentional fearplay of course
-giants being curious towards their smaller counterparts and Vice versa
-the hurt and vulnerable tiny being forced to get help from the one thing they fear the most
-g/t cuddles are the best thing ever invented, and I’m a sap for g/t romance like giant kisses and stuff.
-Y’all are gonna hate me for this one but misunderstandings are the best in g/t.
-hurt/comfort all they way and found family in g/t.
Least favorites:
-I dislike if giants are just cruel and see tinies as lesser beings. Like I love me some angst but give me that character growth and comfort.
-if a character either grows or shrinks, but they turn back to their original size in the end.
- Tinies being as small like ants or smaller, it freaks me out a bit and idk why. So this would also apply to giants and are too big and create that size difference.
