The stage can be a frightening experience looking at the people in the audience staring back at you. When we walk out onto the stage to perform it’s showtime and all the fear disappears. Our lives are filled with daily commitments and stressful situations with difficult decisions to make. When it’s showtime everything disappears in front of us, we only think about the task at hand. If we find places to escape what we have to face, and what we dwell on everyday, we feel freer to keep moving forward. It‘s showtime at school, work, volunteering, or where ever we take our minds to somewhere else.
The stage is a place to create stories to tell, take us away to places of make believe or to share the tales of peoples plight. When it’s showtime all our problems become the backdrop and the audience sees the talent which makes them applaud. The applause catapults us forward, unleashing confidence within us to conquer the next scene, hitting all the high notes.
Doesn’t have to be on a stage,
There is so much to deal with and sometimes feel we can’t keep up. If we know what we need we can find peace and joy where it is. When the curtain goes up, it’s showtime, and all our problems go away for the moment. We need this time away from what we think about to have the ability to keep moving forward.
