Took a crack at woodburning a beard comb and pretty pleased with the results. What else should I burn onto combs, y'all?
I have no idea how to actually trim and shape a medium sized beard especially one as Jew-curly as the one I been growing out past few months far exceeding my usual short use-a-guard-and-mow-the-whole-thing-down-to-trim-it beard and it actually just looked good for a while letting it do its thing keeping my usual lines and adding moustache trimming to keep it out of my mouth.
But then the genes made things chaotic and sticking out the sides of my face too much and doing bad things for the contour of my face so I tried to trim down the sides a bit and oh boy that didn’t look right at all so I had to say "fuck it" and threw a guard on the trimmer and went to town as usual and took off a good inch to inch and a half of thicc beard back to short beard again.
And immediate regret because while my usual short beard does look sharp I do miss the medium length look on good days and also strongly miss being able to actually run my fingers thru my beard when I am thinking and stuff.
Next time when I feel like growing that shit out again I will let a barber do the trim. I have no idea wtf I am doing.
I am however soliciting medium to long beard trimming/care advice from jumblr specifically I feel like a lot of the advice I saw online was geared towards people with relatively straight beard hairs that can be manipulated into laying this or that way with a beard comb and not geared towards Ashlenazi people who express strong Levantine phenotypes (because yes that is where even "European Jews" are indigenous to).
