Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone!
This strip is meant to demonstrate that besides having a deep love for someone else, we can also love causes that drive us to do good and great things for others.
May all my readers find that the person they wake up for, is themselves.
Below today’s strip is the classes I’ll be teaching in March at the Writer’s Block. Register early on http://www.thewritersblock.org/registration-form!
I love when stuff is stuck on his beard, especially when he doesn’t know. Hahaha
This is all honestly my real life. Never a dull moment.
I’ve put a great deal into what I hope to grow into as I enter a new decade of my life in September. Writing the PUSHOVER series and reflecting on my past reminds me of all my youthful flaws. I don’t want to go through life committing the same mistakes over and over again. I don’t believe in self abuse anymore. I’ve spent too much of my youth being self deprecating and people pleasing.
These days I truly embrace the moments to recharge. And just because I am sitting at home taking ownership of my self care, doesn’t mean that I am needing something to do. Jean at less than 100% is no good to anyone.
I don’t need to explain to everyone how “busy” I am because that’s only my concern with how I dispense my time. If you feel less because I am not indispensable, you need to spend some real quality time with your self and work on your self-reflection and self love than seek voids in the world’s noise.
I can call him up and he can read sadness in my voice as I hold it back. He is fluent in my body language and loves me for all my neurotic behavior. My partner respects me. Lately, I’ve been feeling very fragmented and scrambling for pieces of myself. He sees the bright sunny girl leave his bed with ambition every morning and return tattered and out of batteries by the end of the day. He kisses my forehead when I have no more love to give to him. Reassures me that my life is not all for nothing and I am not as crazy as I lead myself to believe.
Everyone can be a gift or a curse to someone and it can be different modes on different days. Coy’s just a gift, each day to every one. A gift to this world by being solemn, sweet, and sincere with no intent of getting those feelings and actions back.
Thank you being alive Coy. I love you.
PS This week’s bearded babe is back a few days earlier after a month and half being off. This the 52nd comic strip, so that’s about a year’s worth of comics. Cheers to the muse and to my readers.
This is the 50th strip! Thanks for the reading!!
