So we know Iain has the scruff still!!

Oh, Mo we LOVE you!  

Yes, finally a look at Iain and he is indeed light on the scruff still, like season 2/3 levels!

As I’ve said in previous metas I don’t see this as a bad thing.  I see it as a sign he’s healing, makes him look younger, and perhaps a sign he’s feeling more vulnerable.  

His scruff started growing out in Season 4 when he felt like he was the bad guy after Radcliffe’s betrayal.  

Back in Season 3 when Jemma was healing she had a very stripped down look, light makeup, comfy clothes, the hoodie ™, and Fitz dressed in calming colors for her.  While it was also been stated that his search for her had him grow up a bit, he had a more mature/professional look after.   So they could be doing the same thing here only role reversal.

It is also very visually different from both Marauder Fitz and The Doctor.   A way to show the difference and a reminder that our Fitz didn’t have the same experience Marauder Fitz did and/or he’s not been forced to use The Doctor like he was once he woke up in Season 5.

Hello, for the people who are still freaking out about Iain and that photo and the question of whether or not there is facial hair and how much. Well, Wendi uploaded a video of Iain spraying water on himself whilst filming the s4 finale, you can’t really see much facial hair due to the lighting despite it being quite close to him. We know that during the s4 finale he had some facial hair and so it really could be lighting, if not your metas on the lack of are amazing and people should reread!

Yes, depending on the lighting the level of scruff Iain has going can change dramatically.  And that photo the light was odd and bright so everyone's faces were a little blurry and lighter. 

To me, it looked less than anything we’ve seen since Season 3. The shortest it was in Season 5 was Rewind when he shaved after prison.  Here is the meta on the looks being a “fresh start”.  

Since that Meta Jeff surfaced, and killed the Deke and Fitz in the same place theory.  But confirms that Deke is very clean shaven right now, very much on earth, and possibly has his own business/place (who else would decorate in Lemons?) as he did in the future.  I’m sure trouble is going to find him pretty quickly and lead to him needing to be with Shield again and eventually reunited with his Grandparents.
