just a friendly reminder
you should always get your dragon tested for ADV!
Atadenovirus(not to be confused with ADV in ferrets or skunks), is a highly contagious virus that is common in beardies. You cannot see it with your naked eye but you can identify symptoms such as
Arching head towards top of viv or "stargazing"
intestinal issues (in older beardies)
Neurological issues (twitching, seizures, dazed look)
a baby with ADV more than likely won't live more than three months without a lot of help throughout it's whole life. if you have a beardie with ADV be SURE you have him or her quarantined. don't handle any other beardies you may have after handling an infected beardie. ADV has no known cure and is treated symptomatically
remember guys, even special needs beardies need our love. just know what you're getting into by getting one of them first.
