Bears are signing offensive lineman Nate Chandler

The Bears invited offensive tackle Jake Long in for a workout Thursday, but have decided to go in a different direction.

Former Carolina Panthers tackle Nate Chandler reportedly plans to sign with the Bears, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. This is not a testament of how well Chandler is, but rather how bad Jake Long must look. Remember he was the first pick in the NFL Draft.

Bears are expected to sign former Cardinals offensive lineman Ted Larsen

The Chicago Bears are expected to sign former Cardinals offensive lineman Ted Larsen according to Adam Caplan of Fox Sports.

Larsen was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at North Carolina State. Larsen is the second offensive lineman that the Bears signed today. The team also signed Manny Ramirez the former Super Bowl Champion offensive lineman.

The expectation is that the #Bears will be signing former #AZCardinals G/C Ted Larsen, source said.

Broncos return man Omar Bolden is expected to visit the Bears today

According to Troy Renck, the Chicago Bears are hosting another former Denver Bronco today. Omar Bolden the cornerback/returner is hoping to land a deal with the Bears today. 

Bolden played college football for Arizona State University, where he was considered one of the top cornerback prospects of his class. Despite sitting out the 2011 season with a torn ACL, Bolden was drafted in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Broncos.

The Bears have signed former OL Manny Ramirez

The Chicago Bears have signed former Denver Broncos offensive lineman Manny Ramirez. Ramirez visited the Bears on Tuesday and made the decision to reunite with coach John Fox and offensive line coach Dave Magazu, who he played under for four seasons with the Denver Broncos.

Ramirez, 33, has experience playing center and guard and is expected to be competition for second-year center Hroniss Grasu, the team’s third-round draft pick a year ago.
