Summary:

Curiosity killed the cat, but what's it do to the bat?

Exploring crypts is a great way to find all kinds of things. Alchemical recipes, spells, bones, colds. However, this time he's found something new - a book meant for vampire abilities. He's curious, it's the first one he's managed to get his hands on that wasn't going to be burnt. It'll be perfect for Cleo or Apo, but first he wants to get a proper look at it.

This changes everything. He might not be a vampire, but he's not really fully human anymore either.

He should- he should probably figure that out.

Headcanon I *will* be taking into any Flight fanfic I write(and there will be some): TF!Legs is an anxious clothes grabber. Whenever he starts to get anxious he grabs clothes. If he's with people he trusts he goes straight for them instead of his own clothes, grabbing a sleeve, hem, cape or whatever's available. Many of the softer students let him do it without question any time he needs it, but even some of the more brash or aloof students will let him grab on and stay close if they notice it getting particularly bad. When he hatched his dragon, he almost always has a hand on them when he can. This does not stop him from clinging still

Summary:

Zam's always been worried about her size and strength, especially after coming to earth. It made her stand out, and was dangerous besides. Little did she know that there would be plenty of good to be found as well in this skill.

Or, Three times Zam's size and strength came in handy in interesting ways and one time it caused a (humorous) problem.

Moments of Softness(Or Lack Thereof)

Summary: In the days following the almost catastrophic reveal of the village vampires, Dr. Legs does his best to take care of the people he cares for, keep everyone in one piece, prepare for war, work on a cure, keep up his lie and at least try not to fly apart at the seams where anyone can see him. He succeeds at some of these things and fails, rather spectacularly, at others.

Heartsong

AKA Bear writes 47k of really self-indulgent hurt/comfort wingfic instead of working on his other fics.

Summary:

Most Avians don't survive the loss of thier Flocks. They're not meant to, not really, hardwired as they are to bond so closely with other Avians. Legundo is one of the cursed lucky few who survived his sundering.

He wasn't happy about it, and everyone left in his life knew that. But he lived, for them if no one else, and got better. It took time, it was hard, but he was still here. Still healing, still helping, still hurting.

Five years on, on a vacation he doesn't even really want to take, and the damaged Avian finds himself dragged into a FUBAR situation that makes Iraq look like a picnic in comparison. Magical barriers(?), vampires(???), people who are friendly and want to take care of him(??????) are almost more than he can take. But in the melee, maybe he finds a soft place to land, soft ginger curls and laughing amber eyes- softness and joy and warmth that he wasn't sure he was even allowed anymore, not since....

Well, first he has to get out of this place. Feelings and mental health can totally come later. Right?

Probably not if Cleo and Pearl have anything to say about it.
