Rambling about the core processor under the cut>
so the core processor was destroyed during Chris’s transformation but afterwards when Aviva got all the broken pieces out of it that were puncturing it, she cleaned up all the wiring she could and basically just had to leave it strung up in there. she did though put a cover over it.
the wires themselves in that area are largely responsible for transmitting things related to muscle function around the chest area, and pulling on it feels something like stretching a muscle really far.
the much smaller wires on the pad underneath were actually responsible for taking in the biological information and reading the disk before, so now they’re acting much like a nervous system. which means the tiny dotted wires under the big wires feel much like nerve endings to Chris. they aren’t pain or pleasure sensors though, and aren’t an objectively good or bad feeling. they’re just hugely amped up on touch and whether he enjoys that is totally dependent on the context of the situation. With Cogon, it ends up being a positive thing, much like biting or kissing.
also also Chris’s trilling and churring sounds like a leopard seal on land.
