Is it strange that Ardyn enjoys the Mermaid Cove mall as much as he does? It’s interesting to people-watch, and as time has gone by during his time in the city he’s found this place to be rather… fun. A strange thought, he thinks, but it’s how he feels about it nonetheless. He’s sure some of the stores have their suspicions that he has shoplifted in the past, and though their theories are not unwarranted he avoids the store clerks’ glares unless he wants to be particularly enraging on that day.
He stays near the center of the walkway, near some of the little food stands, benches, and pedestrians walking to and from different stores. He recalls one of his favorites and with a sudden swish of his jacket turns completely around to go in the opposite direction.
Yes, he has wrought havoc here before. Only slightly, when he and another woman had come in and taken some of the hats on display, slipped them away, and left without a trace. It was one of his fonder memories, he has to admit. As he enters the store he beelines it for the variety of accessories that are in the back, his eyes slowly scanning over many of the styles they have until he settles on one in another customer’s hands.
He smiles, slow, and points to it. “Are you going to take that?” he asks, leaning in only a little. “I’m sure it would look better on you, however if you are unsure I think I’ll add it to my collection.”

NOT that it made much difference to her, of course — only an observation ! She rests her hands on her hips, bending at the waist to observe the steep drop while otherwise unbothered by the current lapping about her calves. The water wasn’t even frigid, either, nor too hot... This really was the perfect vacation, lack of shelter aside !
