💀 for what my muse would say upon hearing about your muse’s death

To say it hit Cassandra hard would be a vast understatement. Had the Seeker not gotten so adept at masking her pain over the many years, one might have said she was devastated. Even so, it was strange to watch as the woman became quieter the days following when the news of Avexis’ death. 

At first the news was greeted with questions. Cassandra demanded to know what had happened, but finally she just...stopped talking at all. 

“She was so young...I shouldn’t have left...”

It was desperate, the way Cassandra reached for Avexis, as if to find a way to keep her from leaving and holding onto what little of her friend she could. “What do you mean by that? You’re not planning on…” Her voice sounded equally desperate. The warrior didn’t want to lose her too, refused to.

“I’m lying, I’m so very far from fine.” @beastspeaker

Cassandra tried to speak but couldn’t, her voice clogged with emotion. It had been so long since she had seen the other woman, and at that time she was only a girl. It hadn’t occurred to her before now just how much she had missed her…and just how much she had missed Galyan too. 

The Seeker cleared her throat to compose herself, ignoring the slight sting of tears in her eyes. “I know it’s been years but…you can still talk to me about anything, Avexis.”
