Beat Da Beat Game Review Insanity
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”19892,19893,19894,19895″][vc_column_text]Imagine having the love of your life kidnapped right in-front of your eyes by a race of mysteriously green aliens. Now imagine hopping in your own spaceblaster and chasing them down to rescue your sweetie-pie. To top that off, now imagine being targeted and bombarded by laser bullet rain that is timed to your spaceblaster boombox playlist while zooming through the cosmos! What you have there, is the makings of an epic story of heroism and the most addictive indie video game I have played this year!
In Beat Da Beat, two adrenaline overloading genres have been spliced together in perfect harmony to produce a unique gaming experience where everything that happens on the screen is perfectly and expertly timed to the current level music! This mesh has been classified online as a mutation of “Bullet Hell” vs a “Rhythm Game”, and rightly so! As the bass drops, your screen gets flooded with big bad alien bombs. As the mids wobble, your screen is filled with a tiny “upset ant-hill’s” worth of alien lasers, and lastly, as the treble pops, your screen flashes, making dodging incoming rays of damage increasingly difficult!
The main challenge to your progression is that you need to complete the journey from stage 1 to the end in one sitting, as there is no “break” between stages! When moving between stages, your HP does not regen either, so you need to play like a baws and bring your “A” hand-eye-ear co-ordination to the game. You start off with a basic little spaceship, which you can upgrade by collecting coins from destroyed alien ships or even purchase a brand new ship with said loot to make your “survivability” even better! Trust me, you need those upgrades! This indie title has won two awards already, in 2014 at Comiccon Gamesjam and in 2015 for the Devgamm Excellence in game design!
Is Beat Da Beat worth your money? Yes! Yes! Heck yes! Now watch my video to see me play through the first 6 INSANE stages in a single sitting! Can you beat me?
