Did anyone else want to bring up Robin instead, when Regina was talking about how it hurts not to have a choice? She was with him because of a lion tattoo and a handful of pixie dust. The writers wanted to bring up Henry and adopting the savior’s son instead so they could stay away from the shitstorm they created with OQ, because OQ would have been a much better example.
It wasn’t fate who orchestrated Henry’s adoption. It was Gold. He knew didn’t he? He did it purposely to bring the savior to Storybrooke so that she could break the curse and he could start working to find Baelfire thereafter.
The sooner Regina unshackles herself from it all, the better.
