Domestic 241 (Past)
Whump-a-Woman AngstApril Day 6 :: Deconditioning Not exactly DEconditioning, because she doesn’t have any memories, but Conditioning. Teaching her how her life is going to be now. Very short, but I’m happy with this one :)
TW’s :: Conditioning, mentions of beatings, mention of drugs, mention of Pet Whump, BBU, Lady Whump.
241 was being taught to cook, clean, and obey.
The last one was the easiest. She didn’t have an ounce of defiance in her body. They gave her food! And water! And clothes! She was thrilled with her uniform, a plain black dress and a blue apron.
Cleaning was alright. It was easy to clean up messes. She didn’t have to put much thought into it.
Cooking... cooking was a disaster. She couldn’t learn. Every time she messed up they took her away and beat her. Yelled at her. She could do better. Why couldn’t she just learn. She was stupid.
Sometimes at night, she would collapse to the floor and sob quietly. She was stupid. She recited the recipes, over and over in her head, but still she messed up. Less, and less often, but often enough for her to live her life in pain.
Sometimes, while eating lunch in the cafeteria with the other trainees, she envied the Romantics. They were never hurt. They were Romantics because they were beautiful people. Scars or bruises would make them defective. Worthless. It was everyone’s worst fear here, to be worthless.
The few training to be Guards were always either so very tired from training, or still hyper aggressive thanks to whatever drugs they were given. She didn’t envy them.
There was another group, which 241 only knew about through the few whispers that got around during meals. Pets. They weren’t allowed to eat food with the others. They stayed in their cages, and were trained like dogs. 241 hating knowing they existed.
It was months, as the instructions were quite litrally beat into her. ‘Clean this with that.’ ‘Don’t you EVER mix those two things.’ ‘These make this.’ ‘Do not forget this- or that.’
‘And above all, NEVER disobey your Master.’
By the time she was ready to be sold, she knew dozens upon dozens of different instructions by heart.
Funny, how much more your mind can hold when it isn’t polluted by memories.
