New years come and new years go
as quickly as the falling snow.
Slothfully I Sleuth the past
relationship status update fast.
If I was to fall again, run and hide
and count to ten.
Could you see me
for the trees or still hear me
in the breeze.
As I brave new paths with fortitude.
And limit my intake of food.

I wouldn’t feel your advancing glare.
