Stage Gaining. Do know what it is and how to apply it? It’s a process that should or needs to be applied during the entire mixing process. Your mastered track will thank you. Check out the article below.

Why I Switched From Pro Tools to Studio One
I’ve used Pro Tools for the past ten years, before 2016. After being introduced to if by a friend of mine, I recently switched to Studio One Version 3. I can record, mix, master and produce music easily in one place, without nagging pop up windows and/it DAE errors. Trying to do all of that in Pro Tools was clumsy and flimsy and in my opinion unnecessarily time consuming, but Studio One, with its drag and drop fx, audio and instrument (vsts) capabilities, all this is a breeze. Also there’s a feature called Scratch Pad where a producer can break the project into 2 timelines, all on the same s£creen, where you can compose and recompose a project without affecting the original structure. In Pro Tools I would have to save different versions of the project. Another reason I switch its sound quality. When bouncing a track out of Pro Tools then listening to the track it seems as if the sound quality was lost in the process. I’d have to go back into the project, make adjustments, then rebounce the track again. With Studio One, what I hear is what I get said bounced track. Also, no more listening to the whole track, waiting for Pro Tools to convert it. Studio One just processes the track withOUT the need the listen to the entire track. TIME SAVED! Sure Pro Tools HD has this feature but why pay more for a feature most software D.A.W.S have made a standard feature. Lastly Cost. Studio One is packed with all the features and sound quality ANY producer/engineer needs and wants at half the cost. You can also have your own audio interface and not have to be saddled with Avid’s overrated interface. Just my two cents.
