The not so simple car ride
Prompt - Can you do one about the Janoskians? About all the guys being in a car accident and they all get minor injuries except Beau who suffers from like severe head trauma and ends up in a coma and the doctors aren’t sure if he’ll make it. Everyone stays at the hospital and talks to him while he’s in a coma and eventually he wakes up. Can you please make it with loads of brotherly fluff? <3

It was supposed to be just a simple car ride to go back home. After quite some time, the Brooks boys decided to take some time off and roam around the city for a while. It was one of the things Beau liked to do when things were getting a bit hectic. He liked to take some time off, take his brothers out and have a drive around. He believed that it not only helped them relax but it also helped the brothers to strengthen their bond. Little did he know that this little picnic was going to turn massively wrong!

Usually Beau came up with the weirdest kind of ideas and this bonding and relaxing idea of his was weird too but his little brothers were not complaining. Well, who’d complain if their brother was not only taking them on a food spree but also bought them quite some goodies!
As they got to the car, Beau decided he’ll take the long way to home so that they could drive around and spend some more time together. He shook his head as he heard the boys argue over who’ll ride shotgun!
“Both of you in the back” Beau suggested, smirking at the groans he got from the boys.
Beau chuckled when he heard the two boys accuse each other of not being able to ride in front and in doing so, he turned back to share a fond smile with the boys.
Except that when he turned back in front, an overtaking car was coming at full speed towards him. In trying to avoid colliding with the car, Beau turned on the other side and crashed right into a tree.

It was Jai who came to his senses first and he panicked right away when he saw the state of the car. He could faintly hear the sirens and could hear someone whisper to him but Jai’s main concerns were his brothers.
“Luke… Luke?” Jai tried to shake Luke awake.
“We’ve got one in a very critical shape here in front” Jai heard someone say and when he looked in front, he found Beau bleeding heavily from his head while his body was twisted in an awkward shape, trapped in front.
Jai let out a gasp and found himself frozen in shock but in the meantime Luke had woken up.
“Jai… Jai…” Luke shouted, trying to get Jai’s attention.
“Luke… Beau, he’s… hurt…” Jai gasped.
When Luke looked in the front, he found Beau badly hurt but seeing Jai already in a panic mode, Luke tried to stay calm as he convinced Jai to go with the paramedics.
All he could hope for was that no bad news await them!

Having been in the backseat, Jai and Luke didn’t sustain much injury. While Jai had a sprain wrist, Luke got away with minor scratches and a few bumps and bruises only!
Beau, on the other hand, was in a bad shape. With a crack rib and a few sprains, the main injury was his head injury due to which Beau had plunged into a coma. And even the doctors were not too positive about Beau’s condition.
The news definitely didn’t do any good to the two younger boys who were absolutely devastated but still didn’t lose hope.

Daniel and James had hurried to the hospital and tried to coax Luke and Jai to get some rest but the boys refused to even move a step away from their elder brother. And it broke the boys’ hearts to catch on snippets of conversations between the boys.
One morning, James heard Jai talking to Beau.
“You’ve got to wake up Beau. I need my big brother. I need you” Jai had mumbled with his forehead pressed to Beau’s forearm.
When Beau didn’t reply, the crushed look on Jai’s first had tugged at James’s heart.
That very night as Jai fell asleep, Luke decided to let Beau know that they were waiting for him to wake up.
“You need to wake up soon Beau. I can’t do this on my own. I can’t take care of Jai alone. You’re the big brother you need to get up soon. Please Beau… We need you” Luke let his own tears roll down his cheeks, desperate hoping that Beau had heard his plea.
Both James and Daniel had stood by the door, hoping that Beau wakes up if not for himself then at least for his brothers.

The next morning, Luke had woken up to a light tap on his arm. When he opened his eyes, he found Beau blinking at him.
“You awake” Luke shouted, earning a wince from Beau and a jump from the sleeping Jai.
“Who is awake?” Jai asked before realizing that it was Beau who was awake.
The two boys had been unable to hold themselves back from pulling Beau in a hug while Daniel and James went to call for the doctor.
The two boys stayed on the edge while the doctor checked on Beau and their happiness knew no bounds when the doctor confirmed that Beau was out of danger now and would make a complete recovery.
They surprised Beau by pulling him in a hug again.
“Hey, I’m okay now. You heard the doc” Beau said, patting their back.
“I was so scared” Jai sniffled.
“Do not ever scare us like that” Luke mumbled.
Beau smiled, his own tears threatening to fall down as he realized how much these boys were attached to him.

Throughout his recovery, Luke and Jai had never left Beau alone even for a moment. If that didn’t tell how much he had his brothers scared after this car crash! This incident did help strengthen their bond but Beau would have preferred it to not have been like this. The simple car ride turned out to be not so simple.
