I finally had my legs waxed on Sunday!
It was a new beautican. Firstly she asked if I was there for a full body wax. Rude. No I was not. I told her what I was there for. At this point she had no mask on and I wasn't temperature checked or offered antibacterial gel.
She eventually put a mask on although she kept pulling it down to talk to me. Bit pointless. Luckily she rarely talked to me. She kept telling me I need to come back in 3 weeks. Then she showed me her arm and said this is the perfect length. I shit you not I saw no hair. She kept saying my hairs too long. Bitch did you forget we just had 5 months of lockdown?! This is also 6 months growth lol. Anyways She kept saying come back in 3 weeks and telling me to shave the areas that was too long along my bikini which I didn't want bikini done anyway. I've been getting waxed for 10 years. I will not be coming back every fucking 3 weeks for A FULL LEG WAX. Nah bruv. Trying to tell me it will damamge the skin. I normally do it every 8-10 weeks as it doesn't grow that fast. My former beautican at my old salon said that was the perfect time for me. This lady was annoying. Definitely trying to make money off me but I'm not a clueless first time waxer they can manipulate to make money.
She also didn't leave the room after so I just put my leggings and shoes on with her there and left. I wasn't given any aftercare tips but luckily this wasnt my first wax. The receptionist was so fake with I haven't seen you in a while in a high pitched voice. I've only been there 3x so don't try it. He didn't even acknowledge my response.
I'm torn on going back because she did a good job (although slow) and that's not always the case with my hair. I've had so many bad waxes and I prefer to go to places where the people have same hair type as me as they understand how to wax it properly. It's not even hard you just need to be a good beautican trained in different hair types lol. My old place are so professional and are doing temp checks but I don't think they've hired a replacement beautican for my lady and the other girl wasn't good. She was sooo slow and you could tell she wasn't that experienced. I miss that salon man. It was more expensive but so professional. I was going there for 10 years and both girls I saw for most of that time were amazing. Both were Greek actually haha. I might call and see of they've hired someone. Might have to book an appointment to make it less awkward as if I enquire and then not book lol.
