A recycled 9mm silver bullet shell casing holds a rainbow fluorite polished gemstone point. I added metallic glass swirl beads in purple and green, and a silver metal bead. This comes with a 24 inch antiqued silver chain. The fluorite has natural inclusions and pale bands of teal, blue, and lavender. Carnival is the name for a series of festivals that occur before Lent in cities throughout the world. Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday refers to the last day of celebration before Ash Wednesday. I combined a recycled 40 caliber brass bullet shell casing with a gold pyrite carved rose gemstone. This comes with a 24 inch gunmetal chain. The origin of the name pyrite is from the Greek root pyr which means fire. This name comes from the fact that striking pyrite against another mineral produces sparks. It is also called Fools gold because it is often mistaken for real gold. Pyrite has the same chemical composition as marcasite, but its structure is cubic in nature. Most gemstone jewelry that is called marcasite is actually pyrite, due to the instability of the crystal structure of marcasite. Pyrite was used by ancient Mayans and Aztecs as a scrying stone. It was considered a powerful stone and was often used in divination and healing rituals. Pyrite is believed to attract good fortune and prosperity. Because it forms cubes and other polygons, believers in sacred geometry consider it of cosmic significance as well. The rose can represent a clandestine meeting. The term "sub rosa" means "under the rose" and comes from the Roman practice of hanging a rose over a meeting place as a symbol of secrecy.
