Today it’s the international day against women's violence and I wanted to post something related to this topic and this conversation between Darcy and her father in Beautiful Devils is the perfect thing I was looking for.
Girls, wifes, women, when a man treats you like shit it’s not because he loves you. It’s not true he didn’t mean to do it. They meant to do it. They keep telling you they will change. They won't. If you come back home, he won’t stop. And I want you to remind that you are NOT the problem. You’re not. He is. He’s the one who is beating you up or abusing physically or emotionally you. If you’re a victim, please press charges against him. He’s not good for you. He’s not good for anyone. He should be punished for what he’s doing. Please please please, report him. And not only for you, but also for all the women who will be abused by him or for the ones he could have been abused in the past years. Stay safe.
