Vandaag een review over een nieuw product dat ik aan het uittesten ben.

Een tijd geleden liep ik langs de Etos in rotterdam en zag ik dat raar genoeg alle “black hair focused”products in de sale waren. Eerste wat ik dacht was:”Etos what are you trying to say? Ik ben niet meer welkom? ” Tot ik de leuke prijsjes zag! Met producten die niet duurder waren dan 4 euro heb ik direct een aantal producten opgepikt waaronder deze moisture butter.

Het merk Beautifull Textures

Het is een Amerikaans merk gespecialiseerd in haar met een afro textuur. Hieronder valt zowel het chemisch behandeld haar als de natuurlijke lokken. Met 13 producten op de markt zijn ze niet het merk met de meest gevarieerde uitzet maar wel het merk dat bekend staat om de Texture manageability system. Een systeem waar dames met kroes en krullend haar kunnen kiezen voor tijdelijk stijl haar zonder schade aan te brengen aan hun natuurlijke haar textuur en krulpatroon. Voor meer info hierover klik hier.

Ik was hier niet zozeer in geïnteresseerd en zocht meer een vervanging voor mijn Shea moisture curling soufle. Toen ik door de producten ging viel mijn oog op de mango moisture butter. Ik heb al wat vaker producten van dit merk gebruikt waaronder de Leave-in conditioner die werkelijk waar top is voor het ontklitten van je haar vooral tussen wasbeurten door. Het succes van de leave-in conditioner zorgde ervoor dat ik dit product in mijn mandje gooide en nu deze first impression voor jullie schrijf.

Moisture Butter whipped curl crème

De omschrijving van dit product geeft aan te helpen bij het handelbaar maken van het haar. Het is gemaakt om een groot hoeveelheid aan stijlen te kunnen creëren met krullend, golvend, kroes en pluizend haar. Het definieert de krullen en maakt het haar zacht door de intens vochtrijke formule.

De boter geeft aan de volgende natuurlijke ingrediënten te bevatten :

Aloe vera

Kokos olie

Olijf olie

Soja olie

Argan olie

Shea boter

Mango boter

Het product heeft een dikke boter achtige textuur vandaar de naam. Het smeert makkelijk uit en is makkelijk te verdelen over het haar. Het zit tussen een crème en een shea boter in waardoor het dik genoeg is om dik haar voldoende slip en coating te geven. Voor mensen met iets dunner haar of iets sluiker haar kan het product gewichtig aanvoelen als je er teveel van gebruikt. Het is aan te raden dit product te gebruiken op vochtig haar omdat het toch een boter is die vol zit met oliën en deze zijn nou eenmaal gemaakt om vocht in te sluiten. Mocht je dus wat droger haar hebben, en maak je het haar niet eerst vochtig, kan het zijn dat je haar op den duur juist droger aan gaat voelen in plaats van moisturized.

Voor de mensen die niet tegen sterke geuren kunnen is dit product absoluut NIET aan te raden omdat je het al op 5 meter afstand kan ruiken. De producten van Beautiful texture hebben allemaal een zoete herkenbare geur die niet voor een ieder bestemd is. Persoonlijk vind ik het wel lekker alleen niet voor een langere tijd.
