GUEST POST FROM JOHN MARTIN RARE BOOK ROOM
Book : Institvtionvm anatomicarvm secvndvm Galeni sententiā ad candidatos medicine̜ libri quatuor
Author : Johann Guenther
Year : 1540
Look at this adorable, perfect, little 479 year old anatomy book! It fits in the palm of my hand, has the coolest binding, and smoothest vellum cover (r.i.p.). My favorite parts about this book though are the cool layouts of the pages and the AMAZING carved initials. The knight “Q” is definitely my favorite. <3
