Hiccup woke up early like usual, he had a slight headache from drinking the night before, he sat up and groaned, rubbing his forehead as if he was wiping the hangover away. He looked at his side and saw Astrid asleep, he smiled and leaned down, kissing her exposed back softly before he clipped his foot in place and pulled on pants, getting up and went to get dressed for his days work as chief. He had been chief for two months now, he had found it easy at first but now he was feeling the stress of it all, he hardly slept from the nightmares and from the stress, and now he also was planning his and Astrid's wedding too. He got in the shower and rested his head against the wall, letting the water run down his body, enjoying the hot water. He had invented a way to get hot water straight from the lake, as well as heating it. He closed his eyes and his mouth open to breathe, he was still struggling from his Father's death, he would let himself grieve when he was alone or with Astrid, but never showed it infront of his people. beautiful-despite-herself
