Monsta X First World Tour Chicago

So I saw Monsta X in Chicago. I won’t give you any crazy details, no overblown delusional “He spotted me in the crowd” type deals. I’m going to be honest about my ONE and ONLY interraction with Monsta X.

I’m from Cleveland, Ohio. My friend and I drove 5 1/2 hours to see Monsta X. We got to the venue, waited in line, and saw the concert from a p3 seat. It was amazing to see them live, I will say that. Anyway, it was really incomplete without Hyungwon. You could tell the guys were sad about it. ALSO, they were pretty shy. I felt they were a bit intimidated by us in their stages. They didn’t lift up their shirts for hero (cept Wonho ofc) and for the most part there was nothing overly sexy.  But, it was still enjoyable. Anyway so my friend and I were staying at the Hyatt Regency right by the venue and this was after the concert around like 11:30- midnight and we were standing in the lobby talking and then all the sudden my friend taps me on the arm to turn around and lo and behold MONSTA X WALKED INTO THE FREAKIN LOBBY. Now, this is where the reality sets in of not only how much distance their is between an idol and a fan, but just how 110% unfiltered this experience was. So the first person to walk in was Minhyuk. He looked really ticked off. He had a major case of resting bitch face and was walking really far ahead from the others. He stopped about halfway in the lobby to wait for the rest of the group and the managers.  My friend waved at Minhyuk but he totally ignored her. We were practically the only ones in the lobby and we kept our distance. It wasn’t like we screamed and tried to swarm them. Then IM, Shownu, Wonho, Jooheon, and Kihyun walked in a single file line. IM looked completely shocked we recognized them and wished them well. I waved to them, and said I enjoyed the show. IM said ‘Thank You’ but Shownu totally ignored us and kept walking. Behind Shownu was Wonho in his god awful booty shorts XD I gave him a small heart and he smiled and gave me one back. He was real genuine and a cutie. Then Jooheon gave a small head nod and KiHyun made SERIOUS eye contact with my friend. It all happened so fast that I can’t even process we were in the same hotel as them and they were no more than 20 feet away from us. HOWEVER the point is, we saw them when they were worn out, probably jet lagged, and 110% unfiltered and it really showed their real personalities lol I was not at all surprised that Minhyuk looked like a real diva. That RBF tho lol I am really happy I got to see them so unfiltered, off camera, and away from a huge crowd of fans lol.

All in all I love Monsta X, but I just wanted to share this very real and unexpected experience. It definitely reminded me that these boys are human and that the Monsta X we know is an image. Kpop is an image and I needed this as a reminder of that. PS: SHOWNU IS SO TALL HOLY SHIT & I.M is really short omg lol (I’m 5′5″ and he couldn’t have been more then a few inches taller than me like at 5′8″-5′9″) PPS: None of them were talking to each other. It was really quiet and all of them legit were ignoring each other it was weird. OKAY BUT FORREAL I WAS IN THE SAME HOTEL AS MONSTA X LIKE HOLY SHITTTTTTTTTTT
