SHE'S BAAAACK! I've been living with stubs for the last 4 months so I'm so glad to have my claws back on, all from the comfort of my home. I ordered some press on nails via @beautystack by my fave @izabellebellamy 💅🏼 All I had to do was measure my nail beds and she sent me custom made set 💜 Book yours via @beautystack using the code PLUMFUL for 15% off. I'll stick a direct link to @izabellebellamy page on @beautystack in my bio. Beautystack: the New Instagram for Beauty Junkies & Professionals?
Ever found yourself scrolling through thousands of posts on Instagram or Pinterest in front of your hairstylist, looking for that perfect silver-grey ombre dye job you saw the day before but can’t, for the life of you, seem to find today? How about going to the nail salon, looking through what they offer, realizing that you don’t actually want any of the designs and wishing you had had the opportunity to look through them online instead?
If so, co-founder of WAH Nails, Sharmadean Reid, has the solution to your problems. Reid, along with two other co-founders, Dan Woodbury and Ken Lalobo, has come up with the idea of a social networking site just for this purpose.
According to its website, beautystack is a platform to “help specialist beauty professionals publish their content and manage their bookings”, assisting beauty professionals who are currently building their clientele via social media platforms such as Instagram by allowing them not just to showcase their services but also to make and manage reservations on the same platform. For now, the platform appears to be invitation-only, but beauty professionals and potential clients can register to express their interest via the links on the platform.
Beauty pro woe: having 653 different places where clients try and book appointments (fb, dms, email, whatsapp…the list goes on right?) 😭 Beautystack solution: an intuitive booking system synced to your calendar that manages all your clients in 1 place 💁

If your interest has been piqued by this idea, yours certainly hasn’t been the only one. According to FinSMEs, the company has already raised slightly under USD 1 million in seed funding, including from angel investors and LocalGlobe, a venture capital firm based in the UK.
Beauty junkies and professionals can check beautystack out on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
