Last New Year’s Eve @uncouthrooth and I went hiking in Gatineau Park and stood and watched a persistent, ingenious beaver at work for almost an hour. We felt pretty inspired by that amazing experience, and some major beaver mojo seemed to fuel our 2019 - we worked like crazy, we stayed in a lot, focused on projects, and faced some frustrating challenges (like, we watched the beaver try about 100 times to pull a damn log under another bigger tree, he fell over trying, but he eventually did it and then walked right past us, log in tow, like it was no big thing. Balls, man. That’s how we got through this year: we just kept pulling at stuck shit til we fell over and eventually won.) Today, we saw our first deer of the winter season, calm and alert, looking well and solid, who ate her lunch looking at us with serene, intense eye contact. I am down with major deer mojo for this new year! So, focused on my friends the beaver and the deer, here is the first thing that I made in 2020: the Beaveer (or Deever, if you prefer. I just want you to be happy.❤️) Happy New Year! 🥂 ... #beaveer #deever #majorbeavermojo #majordeermojo #stupidanimalhybrids #2020 #animaltotems #natureteaches #ladysmith #nyeartmaking #beaver #deer #togetheratlast https://www.instagram.com/p/B6w_rfInQSw/?igshid=ptmof7dgzs38
