Storm v. Lynx:

the storm will beat the lynx but not by much

mercedes russell plays for too many minutes

phee plays incredibly (this is less of a prediction and more of just a thing that will happen no matter what)

Liberty v. Mystics:

bold take only bc preseason: liberty take this one

liberty look at least a LITTLE better than they did against chicago?

Fever v. Sun:

i think the conneticut crowd will actually stay loyal to the sun, partially bc of uconn and partially because people whos favorite team is the sun are LOYAL

Mercury v. Aces:

aces smash the mercury into little tiny pieces unfortunately

bec allen leads the team in three-pointers

tash cloud breakout game out of pure spite

aces go into the bench by the third quarter

people will post unreasonable hate for DT after the game bc her team lost but literally the aces are just too good it's not her fault

every kate martin appearance is gif-ed

Bec played 11 games this season. The Mercury went 7-4 in those 11 games. If she was healthy this year, the Mercury's regular season record would be at least 25-15. The Mercury would be 5th or 6th in the standings instead of 7th.

I just want everyone to remember that. Everyone was super critical of how the team performed after the Olympic break. But no one ever mentions that the Mercury lost a starter. Bec was selected to play a role on this team that only she can play. She makes the spacing possible. And she defends and disrupts the perimeter with her spider arms.

I wish Bec the very best. She's a huge part of the Mercury's team culture. And I'm grateful for what she was able to give to the team this year.
