Something something Cale crashing out at someone from his fam.
But his crashing out isn't just yelling, instead he's gasping for breath with the way he's speaking so fast, so restlessly, his voice is raised and his hands are shaking as he tries to control his words and get himself to calm down but to no avail.
At who? Maybe Alberu, he's one of the few people Cale can afford to act so raw in front of (and not his children). Maybe the man was trying to object to Cale's plan, maybe it involved something Cale knew was going to happen from the novel (or something he just felt really sure of) yet he couldn't explain it and all Alberu was seeing was that the redhead could get hurt no matter what benefits they achieved and Cale felt so frustrated that he somehow lashed out instead.
And it isn't how one usually lashes out, it's Cale standing up quickly and taking raspy breaths and he's trying to explain the logic, the rationale behind it all as best as he can but all he can hear is a pounding in his ears and his words aren't quite forming and his body is quivering and so is his voice and all he can see is Alberu's shocked expression in front of him and he feels so so sorry-
And maybe Alberu hastily walks to him, he says something reassuring or something like 'calm down' and that just. makes the redhead freeze. Because he is calm. He's not shouting and he's not crying he's thinking calmly and he's explaining himself so calmly and its not him who's not understanding it's Alberu-
And maybe something slips out then, a comment that he never would've made. Something like 'stop being so unreasonable'? or just something vague like 'stop doing that' but his face is so filled with disgust and hatred (that Alberu doesn't realise is directed towards Cale himself)?
or at Choi Han, maybe. or someone from Og! Cale's family, and he didn't mean to raise his voice, he didn't mean to be annoyed by something so trivial but he's just angry that they're caring about him as a family and he doesn't know how to accept it all so easily and he knows it's unreasonable but he's so horribly sad that this was what he had missed out on, this was what made him feel so alienated from others and yet he still can't accept it. And the guilt is only doubled, since it wasn't even his own family that he had treated so rudely.
Just, yk, Cale finally breaking down from all the overwhelming stress and trauma and still managing to control himself and not lash out on someone innocent, yet still blaming himself for how like a trash he had acted, whether the reason was justified or not.
