So I was taking my afternoon power 20 minute nap and this idea for an AU came to me ... The Phantom of the Opera Phlint.
Phil is the new manager of the Shield Opera House, a grand dame being restored by its new managers Nick Fury and Alexander Pierce. Years of poor business decisions by Justin Hammer had left the company on shaky legs, but Phil’s got a track record as a director/producer/manager that says he can bring it back to its former glory even if he has to deal with the ultimate diva, Emma Frost, with an ego bigger than the chandelier, an aging leading man, Thaddeus Ross, who really needs to retire, and the eccentric millionaire, Tony Stark, their volunteer set designer who thinks every show needs pyrotechnics and lasers.
Of course, Hammer said nothing about the curse and the Phantom who haunts the theatre before he signed the paperwork.
Then the accidents happen.
Natasha, the ballet instructor, knows something, but she’s not talking.
Wanda, the up-and-coming mezzo-soprano, is hiding something about her new tutor and her brother, Pietro, an ensemble dancer, is covering for her.
Bucky, the technical director who lost an arm in the war, claims someone is sabotaging the shows.
Bruce, the company doctor, is angry about the injuries and wants them to stop.
Lord Steven Rogers is determined to uncover what’s going on ... and Phil’s sure the patron has feelings for someone on the crew.
And the Phantom? Well, Phil doesn’t believe in ghosts but he might learn that things are not what they seem when he meets the reclusive, scarred ex-military property master named Clint Barton ....
