Today is my 30th birthday, which means by the laws of Tumblr I should no longer exist. Today, I am officially Too Old to be in fandom spaces, so this whole reblogging my interests, my fanfic that isn’t finished yet, that fan game I’ve been working on for...well, that’s not important right now, point is I must set that all behind me and resign myself to being An Adult.

But that sounds boring, so I shan’t and I won’t. New part of Dog Days should be good to go tomorrow, but today I’m going to go focus on the very important stuff that needs my attention. Specifically, stuff that involves eating cake.

#its been a week #im burnt out #and i cant job hunt #because pandemic #and waiting on reviews #for 4 fucking months #and cant wedding plan #or even idea-gather #because fiance is stressed about his family #and like #i needed a vacation in november #and it was scheduled for april #so like fuck me i guess

i’m not okay.

#i was accepted to a year long volunteer/service/accompaniment program that would have had me living & working in another country for a year #the two country/region programs i’d been matched with as potential placements were central europe and australia #i know a lot of people who’ve participated in this program and it’s a huge opportunity for growth and to build relationships etc #lately i’d been feeling confused and on the fence about whether i really wanted to go or not #but it’s still a really exciting opportunity #today i was starting to read through the australia information bc the interview and placement weekend was switched to an online event #because pandemic #and i was getting really excited about that program and could see myself as a part of it #i could see myself living and working and learning in australia for a year #and then #i got an email #they’ve cancelled the program for this year #they aren’t sending any young adults to any countries this year #the candidacy process is over #and at first i thought i was okay #but i’m not #i’m really really not #i’m devastated #i’m numb #i’m not okay #i’m just really not okay right now #mine
