Sjdueh I thought I share this with you but I was at my grandfathers the other day and sitting in this box under a table had my old first pjo fan fic that is 61 pages long and 25 chapters (all titled in the way Rick would title them), written 6 years ago by little 13 year old me (my writing was HORRENDOUS) and I honest to god want to burn it lmao

61 pages?? at 13 years old?? I COULD NEVER wow omg that’s amazing, also that’s so funny i love it. honestly do what u wish but my nostalgic heart couldn’t do it, lock it away maybe and years later you can find it again and if u continued to write you’ll see how much you improved

I can't believe I'm going to lose contact with all my friends and the people I consider to be my second family. I'm never going to be able to talk to them or see them. I'm going to lose all contact with them. Me and my partners can't be together anymore because it's long distance we'll lose every form of communication and can't see or talk to each other again and yeah this is basically the end of everything I know :))

Casey Newton acts exactly like Annabeth and is inventive and intelligent and strives to break the rules so she can achieve her dreams and I’m like?? oh my GOSH I LVOE YOU

i understand that some people don’t want to read trials of apollo and no offense but everyone should?? if you honestly even remotely enjoyed the plot of the first two series, you’ll fall in love with this one!! there are little shout outs to parts of the older series and old characters are mentioned and it’s such a fun time and on top of that the fact that we’re getting new information from the first series!! rick is tying everything together and it is absolutely amazing!!

and nero!! he’s the man with the plan from the beginning that no one knew about and he is so arrogant and evil that you hate him from the beginning but you need to hear more of what he has to say because he’s got information that you want. what a fantastic villain!

just a few minor (major) things to consider:

how much of the modern world does nero control? just how far deep does his operation go? he was backing kronos the entire time and no one even knew!!

have people been doing trading and business deals with him and they didn’t know it?? or they did know and they’ve been keeping it a secret?

do the amazons know him? are we going to see the amazons in the new series? amazon is one of the biggest online companies and here nero is, an evil business man

speaking of business man, rachel dare’s father! rachel has been keeping tabs on nero and trying to figure out what he’s doing but what about her family? have they had interactions with him in the past?

he’s got control of new york city, this is supposed to be the olympian’s city and nero’s got the whole city in his palm

the jackson’s literally live in new york city, has nero been keeping tabs on percy ever since he was introduced to his father’s world?? has he been keeping tabs on sally?

and meg!! i hate nero from what meg has explained already, like i want to hug her and kiss her on the forehead and bake her a bunch of cookies and tell her exactly why nero is total scum but when considering plot i have to ask:

meg has been living with nero long enough to consider him family, and demeter has never noticed?? demeter where are you wth!! you can bother persephone in the underworld but you can’t check on your kid who’s living with an evil roman emperor!!

did meg ever meet luke?? does she know who she met or is he just some blonde guy in her like eight year old memory??

she’s a greek demigod, but she has roman swords, does she know about new rome?? has nero visited new rome?? does new rome know about nero? i’m so nervous

just how far do nero’s powers extend, did he make deals with kronos during his rise?? can nero bring people back from the dead seeing as he shouldn’t even be alive in the first place?? (me lowkey: bring back my son luke p l s)

did gaea know about nero? was she receiving help from him as well!!

why haven’t we heard from grover in so long? i know he’s out performing godly duties but isn’t he the one that has a knack for getting trapped in places?? 

why are all the communications down and why aren’t people more concerned about that?? where is iris!!!

and he has an army but how? did kronos have people left over the nero took in?? are one of those people alabaster? did nero plan this from the start??????

and he has an army but is he just going to try to take down camp half blood?? is he going to get rid of new rome as well and start from scratch?? why is he trying to get rid of all the oracles?? does he want to be able to control the future? 

what’s scary about nero is that, even though we’re reading this from apollo’s point of view and this is all new to him, none of this is new to us and with every book i can bet that we’re going to have to go back into other books and see things differently than we didn’t the first time around

there may have been people that were working with nero or were effected by nero or influenced by nero and we’re only learning about it now. rick is making us re-think ten entire books, the more this series progresses, the more things are going to click together and i think it’s phenomenal whether it was his intention from the beginning or not

rick said this was the last percy jackson series, and no matter who is going to be involved by the end of it, it’s going to go out with a bang

nero is a force to be reckoned with and i am rooting for our heroes every step of the way
