Who’s bright idea was is it to name the Apophis asteroid after the Egyptian god of destruction? I know naming celestial bodies after mythological figures is pretty common. But whoever decided on the name for it might as well have called it Ragnarok, Apocalypse, Darth Nihilus Lord of Hunger, or just Earth Smasher 9,000™️
