I know this isn't generally what you post, but I once had a guy tell me that, after I told him I just wanted to be friends instead of dating, that he respected my decision and would be honored to continue being my friend. I know sometimes guys think we owe them everything just because they're "nice guys," but this one made me feel like a million bucks because he still saw me as a human being. We are friends to this day without a shred of awkwardness.
