Petal Pushers
“In joy or sadness, flowers are our constant friends.” — Kakuzō Okakura
The mountain wears a heavy coat of jagged, stony blue; The petals wear the morning light and drink the mountain dew. A brush can catch a summer day before the colors fade; A field is just a quiet thought until the paint is laid.
"I must have flowers, always, and always." — Claude Monet
Poppies Rising
“The poppy is a flower of remembrance.” — John McCrae
Electric Rose
“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” — William Shakespeare
Up from the painted ground
A Flower Found Its Flow
And said something to the sky
that made it swirl and glow.
The mountains didn't listen,
they didn't want to know.
Dark Irises Wait Patiently,
beneath a crimson painted sky.
Watching their final sunset,
without a worry or a why.
The Flowers Dry Her Eyes,
filled with tears of doom.
It helps to keep them healthy,
and crowned with vibrant bloom.
Three Irises Hold the Morning, wrapped in shades of silver-blue.
They lean together in the light, as old companions often do.
