Jan 30 2017, a day worth reflection.
The pressure is building, and the energy swirling is hurricanic. As I read and scroll and search, I wonder. Where is the calm, where is the place of strategy where I can see where this storm is headed? Where am I supposed to be standing?
The storm cannot be stopped, it will rage on. So,
Should I go ahead of the storm and prepare those that are about to experience great pain - Try to move them out of the way or fortify their shelter?
Should I battle my way to safety in the eye of the storm where I will see everything blurry and being destroyed around me? Or,
Should I follow behind the storm and rebuild and dress the wounds?
Where do we belong?
What good are you in the throws of the storm being soaked and tortured by winds and rain?
What good are you if your mind and body are wasted in the turmoil?
What good is done by blaming those whose homes are destroyed under the power of the storm, as if they were the creators of the wind.
What good can come from denying the storm exists?
What good can you do in the center of the storm, watching the destruction around you and unable to intervene for fear of losing yourself?
Do not waste your breathe asking why He sent the storm.
God did not send the storm, but have you asked Him how he can use it for good? How he can use YOU for good?
Stand back, or stand front - prepare or repair - keep watch, rescue swiftly, search relentlessly for the victims and the survivors. The storm will not discriminate. Intervene for them, take them to safety, provide stability.
The storm cannot be stopped, it will rage on. So,
Listen closely for the Holy Spirit speaks softly.
Be the calm, Be the refuge.
Be the one they can depend on.
Your roots grew deep in preparation for this storm, you cannot be shaken.
Be Christian.
