Hello everyone! A late happy new year!
I know I haven`t posted here forever but it`s been a crazy couple months! So much work and the wedding preparations. Still can`t believe I`ll be a bride in July haha! :) :)
And prob I won`t post regularly now but I have been looking at the posts here sometimes when I had some minutes to spare and will keep doin that. And Jim gave me a really good book for Christmas called “The Survival of the Princes in the Tower”. He also gave me gorgeous earrings haha. The book is really cool and I don`t think anymore Richard killed the princes now! And its even friendly to Henry Tudor haha! I hope the two boys really survived as the authors thinks. What was also interesting is that he mentions tht Richard sent a delegation to the pope in December 1484, but there`s no explanation why he did so, and he says there`re some possibilities, like reversing his nephew`s illegitimacy, which is really unlikely haha, and intending to separate from his wife while still keeping the legitimacy of his son. I had such a laugh at that hahah after the nasty messages I got this summer insulting me for not saying Richard worshipped his wife Jim thought I was quite crazy laughing at a book like that. But its the most likely, according to Sarah Gristwood he contacted Portugal in January to inform himself of new marriage possibilities, so after he was sure he could divorce Anne Neville. I wonder if she was supposed to go to a convent! It also explains the rumours about Elizabeth haha if he was already having preparations made people would think something was fishy there even if it wasn`t! I feel sorry for Anne but maybe she was happy to leave Richard and convent wasn`t horrible for highborn women. Wouldn`t be my kind of thing tho hahaha.
