04/08/19 - Ovarian Reserve

Last month, Inay passed away so we had to go to the East Coast postponing the tests to this month.

Today I got my blood drawn to test my ovary reserve. This is how they check if my ovaries are producing eggs and working properly. All these tests are time sensitive because it needs to be done during your menstral period.

The tests results came back quick! My levels are reading normal. Yay!

The next test we need to do is William’s semen and an HSG test. There’s a lot of pressure on this one because I only have one left. Here’s to hoping it’s working properly. 🤞🏼

2nd trimester update

Week 13 and on has been so much easier. I finally have the energy to do things around the house, workout, and even stay up past 9pm. I’m sure this excited William because we weren’t cooped up in the house all day. Because of this new found energy, we decided to book a trip to Europe thinking to ourselves that it would be easy. This might not have been a good idea considering there was so much walking involved. My mind wanted to see so much, but my body definitely held us back. I was a trooper and did as much as I could. It was an amazing trip, but for the next pregnancy, I’m going to push for a more relaxing vacation.

End of the 1st trimester

Time is flying by! We are 12 weeks today and we just finished our genetic testing. Baby Aguinaldo is strong and healthy. We also got to see the baby in the 3D ultrasound. Baby A waved to us! It was the best feeling in the world.

We love you so much and we can’t wait to meet you!

05/15/19 - Recanulization Day

Last month we were given 3 options after finding out my tube was blocked. We picked the first one, which was the least invasive procedure. Today was the day. I was nervous. What if this didn’t work? William kept me calm. Thank goodness for his comic relief.

This time, the procedure was more intense than the HSG test. They had to monitor my blood pressure, my breathing, I had an IV put in, and was given so many pain killers. There was even a whole team of techs, nurses, and doctors in the room. Felt intimidating.

They did an HSG test again just to confirm there was a block. That pain I was used to. He proceeds to do the recanulization and then the HSG test again. Since the block was cleared the HSG test hurt so much more. The pressure was almost unbearable but it lasted 30 seconds. They told me to breathe through it. The nurse asked if she could increase my pain meds but the doctor said “nope, no need we’re done, all clear.”

Oh my gosh, the feeling of relief when he said those words. I couldn’t wait to tell William! Doctor said we could try to conceive after 24 hours. Woohoo! Baby making time!!!

05/01/19 - Semen Analysis

After abstaining for 3 days, William finally decided to submit a semen analysis to check the quality of his swimmers. It was quite the experience and might be too much to share on here so I’ll opt not to. Results came back quick! Within minutes of him submitting his semen. Looks like his swimmers are good and strong!

Maui was such a good reset for us. Definitely took our minds off of the stress at home.
