Becquerl asked: Follow-up to my other Vicky prompt: Vicky might be in trouble… Aunt Sarah was much squishier and had finally stopped complaining, but now her mom was in her room and didn't buy her being sick. She'd need to think fast!
(Express Prompt for Becquerl!)
This is a sequel to this prompt <3
Vicky was sweating bullets as she hid beneath her bed's covers, making sure to pull it up and over her head.
It was necessary to do this to help hide how much the covers were actually hiding- which was quite a bit more than what Vicky would normally include.
But it also helped her endure the lazer-like stare she could feel borring into her back, even through said covers.
"And the fact that you feel sick doesn't have anything to do with the way the trampoline was moved while we were gone?" Mom asked, and Vicky loudly gulped.
"N-No? I- uh- Was it? I've been- here all day. Sick. Cough cough," Vicky forced out, only to bite her lip hard to muffle the gasp that tried to escape her as she jostled her full stomach.
"Is that so," her mom replied, her voice letting Vicky know that she wasn't buying it at all.
Vicky wasn't an actress after all. She did her best, but Carol Dallon was a lawyer, and no kid, no matter how super, could actually lie to her effectively.
Especially not when Vicky's stomach wouldn't stop rumbling loudly as it digested Aunt Sarah. Thankfully, the woman had stopped crying out and struggling a while back, so she wasn't making Vicky's lie even less believable, but that alone wasn't enough to actually protect her from her mom's piercing gaze.
"And you feel so sick that you can't get out of bed? Or even pull down those covers?" Her mom asked skeptically.
"Y-Yup!" Vicky replied as naturally as she could. "I- I just feel really cold, so… Yeah."
Her mom sighed behind her, and Vicky's blood ran cold as she heard her step closer to the bed, and grab hold of the cover. "Enough, Victoria. Just get out here and tell me what you've done. Lying is unbecoming of you."
Victoria started panicking as the covers were pulled back-
"Vicky ate the entire box of cookies downstairs and gave herself a stomachache," a third voice suddenly spoke up, making the two blondes freeze.
'Amy!'
"Amy?" Her mom asked- only to flinch when Vicky suddenly burped loudly, dropping her hold of the cover as she did. She clicked her tongue, her nose turning up in disgust. "Honestly- I thought you'd know better than that," she chided.
"S-Sorry…" Vicky mumbled in reply, shuffling under the covers as she did her best to hide the large, semi-digested bra she'd just burped out.
Her mom sighed again, before shaking her head and leaving the room, before pausing in the doorframe. "Thank you for telling the truth Amy, but you should've stopped her from doing this in the first place."
"Sorry…" Amy mumbled as well, before slipping into the room as their mother left.
She walked right up to Vicky's bed, before whispering in a low voice. "You owe me."
Vicky nodded her head slowly. Yes. Yes she did.
